Fernandes' business model has been to pick businesses up off their knees and make a success of them, I can't see why he'd buy QPR when Bernie/Flavio/Mithal have taken over, got them up, and then lumped them on the market as soon as they got them in the Prem and can charge the appropriate inflated price.

whatever your views on whether Team Lotus is 'real' Lotus or not, the fact is the guy has bought a F1 team back to Norfolk (and kept it here despite being royally f**ked-over by Hethel), investing in Carrow Road would have made sense at the time he was shown around (when we were in League One, on our knees), he was quoted a price but was still intent on 'Ammers at the time, by the time that fell through we were worth a lot more and didn't really need his help!
