It's not about the best four individuals

You need a back four that works well together, understand each others strengths and weaknesses and have strong communication skills. Look at Malky(good leader), he was mediocre but worked well with Fleming (average journeyman) and they were complimented by full backs who had a good ability to come inside and cover their mistakes. Only time well tell what are best back four is.
