a while back I suggested that taking away the rights of citizens to protect themselves while increasing the amount of police being armed wouldnt be a good thing.........

Those in power love this s**t as it gives them more leverage to put through powers that restrict and undermine the freedoms of its citizens.

Has happened all over the world (including the US with bulls**t like the patriot act)
