How is it set up ? Is it cable or ADSL ?

Is it also the modem ? As in is it configured like this:

Plug from wall into wireless router, ethernet cable from router to wired PC, with netbook attempting wireless.

Or is it just a router, configured like this:

Plug from wall into modem. Ethernet cable from modem to router. Netbook attempting wireless. Ethernet cable from modem to wired PC.
