Of course they get paid. They have to do their research, plus spend probably up to

7 hrs on a game day getting there early, preparing, doing the commentary, then the Canary Call (wonder if the pocket rocket will do that too and how he will handle the Barrys of the world - should be a laugh!).

I'd say it would cost them a good 10 hrs work per game spread out (not only on the day). Perhaps the other journalistic work is also included (column in the Pinkun / EDP / EEN etc) which would pad it out to a pretty decent part-time job.
