Well, all attempts at communism end up as oppressive totalitarian regimes...

...whereas only some capitalist ones do. People weren't risking getting themselves shot trying to get into East Germany, nor do people across the ocean on a rubber ring to get to Cuba.
Don't trust any ideologies, left or right, and anyone who says they have all the answers doesn't.
