But I've heard more outlandish rumours which have come true in my time.

If it IS true then he would be replaced and, as others have said, he really might not be quite cut out for the Prem and if every player has a price, ?2m is pretty tidy.

The reason I think it isn't true though is the importance of Holt to the club as a captain and talisman. He is also definitely a useful impact player if others go ahead of him in the pecking order.

My hunch? it's bollocks.
