But I think caricaturing those who do as wingnuts and fruitcakes is part of the problem. The ringleaders are inevitably loons (just take that complete and utter see you next Tuesday Guido Fawkes), but a lot of otherwise reasonable people agree with him. If you value democracy, you shouldn't regard having the debate as a chore.
