The whole point of sideways passing

is to 'stretch' the opposition, creating space for our attackers. Obviously, the slower we pass the easier it is for the defence to organise.

We played some lovely crossfield balls last night, but our forward movement wasn't evident enough in the 2nd half. On the whole it was a step forward for us.
