I think it's almost impossible not to be cautious when you're in the lead, particularly when the side isn't extremely high on confidence and haven't scored too many goals.
Worthy could say whatever he wants but he can't erradicate an element of doubt.
I'd say it's more the players subconsciously being more cautious/less adventurous and protecting the lead rather than Worthy demanding that they sit back.
Also, I don't think Hull really threatened us anyway.
