got to the play offs. The pub I was in had us on little screens with wolves whilst the bar was packed with Real Madrid and Barca fans playing in the champs league

I remember when either won (I can't remember, too busy loving Norwich), but all the losing fans stood and applauded the winners. That was unexpected, almost as much as as finding out there were so many Spanish in York :s

Anyway, that pub was called scruffy murphys, and was a well known Chelsea pub in York. The only reason I wonder if you know it, was the I remember Allan Green seeing a flag whilst commentating on a World cup game in career, and he read out the flag "scruffys york, that must be a pub"

Was the dude who owned it well known, um, like Sue Pollard? :)
