Yep, I think he does see it as a freeroll but I was also thinking.....

Maybe he collects some kind of huge bonus for reaching the PL (payable once they play their first match)

Maybe he would lose it if he walks (i e not sacked)

Sounds crazy but they seem to be doing everything they can to make him walk rather than sack him.
