Okay...

It IS similar to a cassette and a cd player as it *GASP* plays music!

It just plays MORE music and you can remove and add music at your will.

Laptops can be an inconvenience. Due to the physical aspects of it, and the fact that you would only really get the full use out of it if you really need it. They are a great tool for students and people in business, but they are not an invention that is a "must have" or would add anything to the regular persons life...
