Friends have done it and these days it is far harder than it was previously. A lot of

friends were programmers and years back they would have no problems at all. More recently there have been a few who haven't got in after years of trying.

Canada is even worse these days ! Friend of mine finally got a permit after 5 years of trying, only to have it stolen from her bag whilst on holiday in Belgium, and discovered they won't replace them - you have to do the whole process again. Ridiculous!
