Despite all the rumours on here about players that Norwich are signing, loaning out, or selling, nothing will be done with regard to arranging deals until the managerial situation is resolved. Nigel Worthington has had the much dreaded "vote of confidence" from Roger Munby, the club chairman, however, following the home defeat to Reading, plus the fact that Worthington made some scathing remarks about the fans after the game, his future is very much up in the air and defeat vis Hull will make the situation almost untenable. Names being bandied about as possible replacements include Martin O'Neill (who had two spells as a Norwich player, and a short one as manager prior to his joining Leicester), rumoured to have said he had "unfinished business" at the club; Kevin Keegan (don't take that one too seriously!); and Martin Allen. However, the surprise choice would appear to be coach David Williams, another ex-player doing extremely well with the youth set up at Carrow Road, and who has coaching experience at the highest level, having also previously worked under Sir Alex at Manchester Utd.
