no rule as far I can see and find out

just take each case individually and are suspicious of anyone doing for over 6 months. The next stamp they give me would take me up to a year here in Chile. I'm hoping the fact I'll be crossing back to Chile with my girlfriend and bank statements and references from the British Consulate here at the ready as well. Hoping all this should be enough. It's annoying I can't really mention that I will probably have a job sorted in July.
