I imagine he feels like I did the year my marriage broke up -

not sure, after all those years of family holidays and holidays with his wife, what to do for one. He's presumably throwing himself into his work instaed.
I finally decided on a holiday, had a wonderful time and met my current partner on it, so it worked for me
