I can only do the cheek noise on one side of my mouth.

And it's the opposite side from my most natural winking eyes. I can *chk* and wink with either eye, but if I try it with my less natural winking eye the whole effect is a bit more Sunshine Bus than you want when you pull the wink and the gun.
