1993 - Crystal Palace 49, Middlesbrough 44, Nottm Forest 40
1994 - Sheff Utd 42, Oldham 40
1995 - Crystal Palace 45, Norwich 43

The league reduced to 20 teams after the 1994-95 season. Since then, just three teams have gone down with 40+ points:

1997 - Sunderland 40
1998 - Bolton 40
2003 - West Ham 42
