More mother wisdom

When child is upset: "Do you want me to give you something to cry for?"
When child can't find something: "Do you want me to come up there and find it?" (Somehow used as a threat).
"A girl likes to know."
"That hat looks like a pea on an elephant's arse".
"That'll draw your arse up to your elbows" is a fairly run-of-the-mill expression for anything reasonably sharp. Vinegar, lemon juice etc.
