Keep on saying this phrase "Ten thousand hours" until you are as poor as me, having spent all your cash on tennis and golf (spare cash is NCFC money!)
Between the ages of around 5 to 15 that's one thousand hours a year, works out at 20 hours a week for 50 weeks.
That's the minimum effort required to be in the zone to become a champ. And that's assuming all the other things go for you, eg injury free, good mental attitude, great fitness, talent and good genes. Plus most importantly parents who can fund and support it.
No Ten thousand hours no champ. Simples.
Amy does 10 hours+ a week, but she has other things going on in her life, like prep for high school.
Dominique, her pal is near 15+ hours and her parents tick all the right boxes. She might do it.
