Being honest...

I was hoping for more than that.

I know a marquee signing goes against Lambert's "everyone is equally important within the squad" mentality, but from a purely selfish point of view I wanted someone to make me sit up and think "wow".

Don't get me wrong, I think the players we've signed/are signing certainly improve the squad, but I'm yet to be convinced that they're going to improve the team to the extent required.

I will, of course, give the players the opportunity to prove themselves one way or the other, but those are my initial honest thoughts.

Not that anyone cares, probably.
