I alluded to this possibility in a post yesterday.

Smith may claim to be "unsettled" and "homesick", but not so much that he isn't going to pick up his wages and do whatever bare minimum is needed from him every week.

Hopefully, if we enter the Prem Reserve League, he'll get a few games and have to put a bit of effort in. But I can't blame him, he can makea mint this year for doing bugger all and then get a nice free transfer and signing on fee at the end of it. Costa del Norwich casts its shadow again.

I suspect we'll end up paying him off, even though he's under contract and worth some sort of fee, however modest.
