Chris Martin

I hope we keep hold of him.

Admittedly, with Vaughan and Morison joining Holt, Jackson and , possibly, CMS, we're going to be top heavy with strikers-but, as you need 4-5 at PL level, thats no bad thing.

I think maybe, just maybe, Chris Martin's future at Norwich won't be in an out and out striker role. He is an intelligent footballer who makes space and time and starts moves as well as finishes them. Yes, his finishing ability is spot on and up there with Holty's on his good days, but he also has an eye for a pass and is creative with it.

A deeper role, an advance midfielder perhaps, else as an option in the hole, or even the deeper forward in a 4-4-1-1? I think he's got the ability to be a sort of Teddy Sheringham-type player for us, and hope he gets next season here to show his worth.
