** Virus Alert Wrathers **

Most of you know I work in IT - just had this from our support partners - so I can 100% vouch for it (I'd not post anything I couldn't vouch for, to be honest - most are hoaxes, so I always check first)

"Hi

You may be aware there has been a virus outbreak recently. It arrives in the form of a ?hard drive error? and asks to run a check disk on your machine ? this looks very legitimate but after the scan it asks for payment for a ?module?.

This process hides all of the files/folders/programs on drives as well as putting lots of spyware on the system.

PCS are making all of our support customers aware of this as it takes considerable time to remove and therefore has an impact on your working day.
