but realistically

there is no difference between the teams! Reading have consistently been at the top end of this division for the last 3 years or so, putting them at exactly the same level as we are, in the top 30 clubs in the country! Not a defence as such, just fact... We're backed by people of similar wealth, from town/cities of similar sizes etc. Extra money we may have made from the Prem seems to have gone, either to service debts, finance new players last year or on pre-arranged bonuses and extra salary for the existing squad, I don't think you can say we have the bigger resources, or should outplay them cos we're the bigger club. The bottom 12 or so Prem teams play average Championship style football imo, which makes it more galling that we couldn't stay up; that is Worthy's big failing, unlike Jewell or Pardew who both seem to have sent similarly equipped squads to ours last year with a much better mindset...
