defence soon surely ? Pacey CB or two and a decent backup RB ?

Sounds like the 4 we've signed adding up to less than 10m, and then wages on top which are probably around the 3m mark (for a 15k a week - so maybe more). Then the pay increases for the current squad which I'd imagine would be generous given Lambert's character of rewarding effort.

So, one big signing quality pacey central defender and a couple of free transfers at CB and RB ?

But then what about Whittingham ? Will we pursue that one if we get Bennett and Snodgrass ?

I'd expect a surprise or two on top of the 7 so maybe he's just taking advantage of opportunity on one or two of them.
