To keep scraping 3 points here and there thus keeping an ineffective manager in place whilst the season drifts by?

Of course once i'm at the game then I will be supporting city and not hoping we lose but my point is that if that is what it takes to get the board to be decisive and make a decision then I would not be that gutted if we lost this one as I think that greater good could come out of it in the long run!
