I'd expect it's tougher to get players lined up.......

....if you're involved in a promotion push then all attention is focussed on that, then there's players on holiday etc - and maybe no point approaching them before, in case they don't go up (similar to the Borini gig with Parma)

All conjecture, but we had a couple of our signing lined up before the season end, so just trying to think of the contrast - after all, it's the lure of PL football that gets them (and, of course, going to Norwich for at least one game ;-))
