Started the day really upbeat that we had turned the corner. 1st disappointment came when Hucks wasnt starting in my opinion he would start for any other team in this division and if he's not fit enough to start he shouldnt be risked on the bench such is his importance to us.
Was clear from very early on that although we were dominating we had no width. Ashton is clearly struggling but we don't seem to be playing to his strenths. He has no balls to attack just half assed floated crosses and balls lumped forwards to him. he is great attacking crosses drilled in at pace he is also very good with his chest at bringing ball down and spreading the play with no width he looked lost and didnt know what to do with it.
Very early on it was apparent that the Reading right back was having a mare hoofed clearances etc. The stage was set for Hucks.
We conceded a goal and then Worthy put Hucks on the right hand side which to me defied belief how can he keep playing him there and why was McVeigh taken off. Finally he was put on the left by worthy and we looked dangerous deano looked interested and hucks skinned their right back several times.
We are not very far away but at the same time we are very far away from being a good team in this divison. We pass the ball well too much at times. Colin is starting to look good Davenport proves what a liabilty Flem is and even Doc looks a player. Deano will come good he's to good not to.
Was major fu**ed off with worthy but his "I couldnt care comment" was to much. Buy 3 tickets and travel many miles and waste a day to see a team that is not our strongest and a manager that at present seems tactically inept and doesnt care.
Youve been great worthy and I mean that but I can't see you turning this round.
