Shacks is probably wondering if and when he'll get a chance again.
Doherty has been plucked out of exile and is a nailed on first teamer now, Davenport will be for as long as he is here-and we will try and do a Hucks, I think, and sign him in the New Year.
Fleming is back up for right back and either one of the two central defensive positions, and he'll take that, I think, at this stage of his career. I think with all that in mind, plus the myriad options on the left (Drury, Brennan, Charlton-who can also play in the middle) that Shacks will be on his way in January, accompanied by the usual rhetoric from the club.
The neglect and lack of interest that the present manager has in the youth team is an absolute disgrace. He alienates them for no reason, whilst he has his own petty reasonsm it seems, for doing the same for the first team. Look at Doherty, he was Mr No-One, ostracised completely-now he's flavour of the month with Worthy! Do you get it? I don't.
If he doesn't give the current batch of youth players a chance, I can't see David Williams (and yes, he could be a future manager) hanging around. Maybe we could have done more to keep Bothroyd, if we lose Williams that will be unforgivable. I'd rather see Worthington leave 100 times out of a 100 than see Williams go.
