But it's misplaced, Star Wars (and Matrix to a degree) was put there to show that "better" is subjective and of personal preference...

Star Wars have done more in the worldwide box office, sold more merchandise, created more buzz etc than Fight Club could ever do.

There are too many ways of defining "better" when it comes to movies.

For what it's worth, I would have chosen a lot of less-acclaimed movies in my top 5, but I would have been laughed at! :p
