...was born in Stoke - parents got divorced when I was 2. Mum was 19 then, couldn't cope with me. Dad moved down to London (White City) managing a jewellers - so lived there from when I was 2 'til when I was 10 (when he got the sack) and got booted back to Stoke.
Uncle was a director at Port Vale, so went with him to games until I could afford to go to Chelsea again - started going regularly in 88/89. We were f**king cack, but some good days out.
Moving to Royston held a lot of allure, as I'm sure you'll understand
