We had a discussion about this last week.
Its going to be interesting how the club gives super members a shot at the casual tickets.
The math is pretty simple.
Assuming a 27,000 capacity
As per PL rules.
We have to give 2700 to away supporters
We have to have a min of 5% (1350) for casual fans
We currently have a cap on Season tickets of 21883 (from the NCFC site today)
That brings a grand total of just 25,933 which is well short of 27,000, plus its also well short of our unofficial capacity of 26,532, which seems to be close to our "real" capacity after seat wastage.
It would appear the club have enough room to allow a few more ST holders.........or.......knowing every game is going to be oversold they could make FAR more money by capping the ST and having far more casual tickets available at full price (and the 20 quid for the super membership)
Based on todays figures and caps, there are going to be around 1800 casual tickets for sale
Today NCFC said we have 4668 super members
I will assume that once the word gets out that this is your only shot at PL home tickets then this will rise to 6-8000
The problem is 1800 into 8000 doesnt go.
How will they distribute casual tickets?
Will the draw for every game?
Will it be first come first served (i e early morning queing)
Or will they give ALL super members some tickets (i e 1 in 4 games)
I could be totally wrong but NCFC may be on some shady ground by offering "casual" tickets to just super members.
Not sure if thats within the true spirit of the rules of the casual tickets put forward by the PL.
I am not saying they have broken any rules but offering to a select few (or buying the right to purchase) may not be what the PL had in mind?
It sounds as if you have to spend 20 quid to buy a raffle ticket for a chance at buying tickets.
Either way, if they draw or you get a correct % based on number of Super members, your 20 quid is basically going to get you roughly 4-6 home tickets this season. (based on 6-8000 super members)
Norwich are within their rights to drop the casual allocation down to 1350, meaning even less tickets per super member.
