UK Builders have "Landbanks"

They won't build on the land until prices head up back into the stratosphere. They don't want to do an Ireland. You'd be shocked at the room sizes of the average UK new house, especially 'starter homes'. The estate agents fill the showhomes with 3/4 size furniture and photograph the rooms with fish-eye lenses.
