you're probably right, and this is all politics, obviously, but

in a world where it's often hard to persuade women to come forward when they've been raped - particularly if they knew the man - then it's not obvious it's OK for the justice secretary to suggest that kind of rape isn't serious.

Not saying he really believes that - who knows - but that's how it came out. Not really what you want from the minister in charge of the legal system.
