Yes it is early days.

But when I suggested that there wasn't a huge gulf between league 1 and the championship a year ago some thought I was deluded. Which is not to say a big "I told you so" but to err on the side of caution before leaping to a judgement either way. I honestly believe the only real leap is from 7th in the PL to above. If we are to stay up next year we'll need a win or two early on to gain confidence but then we might (or more hopefully, will) find that it's not all that scary. There are plenty of teams who've done it before. What we mustn't do is approach the whole thing with an inferiority complex.
