The Golf has got a lovely engine, and it's a really nice drive

but I wouldn't have one over a Wedge. Drive down to Nodge on Friday told us that. It's just not comfy enough. The Wedge is like slipping into a favourite old armchair - albeit one with 1.8i-vtech engine.

The Wedge is a much bigger feeling cabin too, and the boot is bigger.

And I miss the Wedge's leather seats.

And, moreover, the Golf is just so thunderously DULL.
