It does matter what the players get paid. If the wages are mainly bonus related

If results stop going your way the players wages drop significantly then agents start looking into new clubs and the team starts to accept defeats because they are not going to stay. Moral goes down. Blackpool started really well bu then have started to fall away and will go down in my opinion. Good players like Charlie Adam will leave in the summer anyway and they are back were they started. Alternatively the wage structure at Stoke would be interesting to look at though.
