I dont think he was

I've been pointing this out to all and sundry for a while.
He's been having one of his 'dips' since feb, just never came out of this one. He's been extremely ineffective in what he does best. When was the last time he had an effort on goal? got in the box? made more than 10 tackles in a game? made more than 1/2 forward runs with the ball?
He has been very very poor of late, not through a dip in form, not through havingthe ball and struggling to make things ahppen, but through not being involved, and not making the effort to be involved.
