That would seem pretty reckless to me

The club has a chance to put itself on an even keel and guarantee its future.

I'd rather see us signing players we can keep if we're relegated back down into the Championship. Good quality players who can get us back the next season.

Why spend massively just to guarantee a dull mid table finish in a league we have no chance of ever winning?

It would be much more fun to yoyo anyway.
