My dad is 61. He is ? how shall I put this ? not built for lycra. Until recently he didn?t spend a great deal of time in the saddle.

In fact, the last time I rode a bike with him (several years ago) he fell off, drunk. But he has been training hard. He even had a little crash. He and two friends are raising money for The Prostate Cancer charity and the End Polio Now campaign.

If the Wrath can raise ?100 I will encourage him to stick a Canaries flag on his bike when he gets to the Welsh Border
