try a system restore......

....(accessories, system tools, system restore) to when it last worked.

If that doesn't work then start, run, msconfig - click the startup tab and then click disable all, apply, ok, reboot (you can re-anable anything you want to startup afterwards, anti-virus etc)

then downalod spybot search and destroy and run that
