The Perfect senario for NCFC in the QPR scandal is not winning the title!

We get 2nd and QPR get points deducted next year in the prem thus giving a better shot at staying up.

Many have said the points deduction has to be handed out for this season. (even though the offences took place over the past 2 seasons)

Yet in the case of admin (where clubs cheat other clubs by spending money they dont have) the punishment can be suspended from one season to the next in certain situations

Lets look at Luton and their 30 point deduction for paying agents and other irregularities

They were punished in the next season, not the season where the offence happened.

Because of the impending mess, I see the following in order of most likley.

(1) QPR fined huge only no points deduction. (points deduction suspended pending further misconduct)

(2) QPR fined and deducted a small number of points that doesnt effect the tiltle or promotion picture.

(3) QPR fined and deducted a large number of points that is held over till next season.

(4) QPR fined and deducted a large number of points that effects this seasons standings (Cue huge legal mess)

(5) QPR found not guilty on all charges. (not happening)

The fact the football administration bodies have waited till the season is virtually over (having known about this a long time) is not some coincidence in my opinion.

They would prefer the QPR hearings are dragged into June, long after the playoffs are over.

They could then claim they cant go back and deduct points this season as the playoffs would be wrong.
