He was struggling and even Lambert saw that.
Holt also struggled at the start but obviously his status and past record (and workrate) bought him some time.
I think the reason Jackson is doing much better is not just goal scoring.
His work rate has been incredible even when he hasnt scored.
Maybe its just a case of his overall fitness has vastly improved from the start of the season plus he has become a better footballer surrounded by better footballers.
Maybe for the first time in a while he has had real competition for his place.
Maybe he isnt the same footballer we bought at the start of the season.
