Having lots of loans can be problematic in the prem.
Lambert has avoided loans where he could but we had no choice in these cases as all other avenues were shut.
We obviously wanted to buy Fraser Forster but once Newcastle didnt want to play ball we looked elsewhere for a permanent singing.
Of Lansbury and Pacheco........ I could see Lambert making a run at buying Pacheco.
Arsenal probably dont want to sell Lansbury.
Would be interesting if Wenger left Arsenal... a new manger could spend some cash while shifting some players off the payroll.
The problem with prem loans is you lose that player for two games.
2 of 38 games is quite significant.(5.26% of possible points)
When you start having a lot of loans its hard to put out the same side.
I think anything more than 1 full season loan and it gets to be too much.
If we get promoted I could see us trying to buy players like Shane Long, Danny Graham or maybe even CMS at a bargain price.
Maybe go in for Elliot Bennet again or other quality players who have done well at the champs and lower level, looking to make the step up.
Lambert admitted the other night when asked about planning for next season that they had gone over the various senarios.
Planning is well under way.
His backroom staff have probably done all the research on the 3 remaining teams so they are probably looking at players in case we get promoted.
Given we have a play off place locked up (25% chance of promotion)
Plus we also probably have at least a 35% chance of getting 2nd.
The current market price give us around a 60% chance of promotion (4/6) if you factor in bookies vig.
Which looks pretty close to true odds.
