to be fair, compare Wickham to Carroll

I'm not saying Carroll was worth the money, but even Charlie Adam outscored him last year, IIRC

"Big" strikers seem to mature later. I actually think Wickham will do OK in a few years. Teams are looking at potential, rather than a proven striker
