a mere 6 extra goals conceded could easily have lost us 12 points. And I reckon without any one of those defenders (esp. Greeno, Mallky & Flem) we could easily have let in more than double that number extra. And the Cardiss game you mention isn't a very good example - of course we could get away with defensive changes in a game where we are scoring 4 goals, but that didn't happen very often. In loads of games (especially the ones against our closest rivals) we NEEDED to keep a clean sheet
