Guardiola had it right: the media are creaming all over Wilshire but there are plenty of Spanish youngsters in their reserves with the ability to pass and keep the ball.

That Lansbury was included in the shortlist is a sad indictment of the lack of young talent out there. He's not played enough games and doesn't even start for us all the time to warrant inclusion.
