It's not really like that,

If you're bang into the arty/poncey stuff then you can get involved, sure.
But if you're not (like me) you'll still have a good weekend.
And re: enhancing your weekend, it's just like any festival I found. As long as you're not ramming it down their throat then you'll be fine. Mate of mine says he walked in with an ounce in his bag and got in fine.
